Vincitore’s traces its roots back to the Spring of 1946, where Joseph M. Vincitore, a World War II veteran and band leader, purchased a continuing music business known as the Poughkeepsie Music Shop.  This local landmark music store had been established in 1926 and continued under his stewardship. Mr. Vincitore possessed a wealth of industry experience in sheet music, band instruments and an expertise in acoustic pianos as well as in the newly emerging Organ Industry.

Mr. Vincitore, now at 92, still serves as a company consultant and driving force.

Vincitore’s has prospered through a myriad of changes within the music industry and is still operated by sons Jon and Michael Vincitore. Our customers continue to benefit from our decades of knowledge and commitment to the promotion of the piano performance experience.
